Product Overview
ASTM A656 is a series of high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) structural steel plates produced via thermomechanical controlled processing (TMCP) with microalloying elements like vanadium (V) and niobium (Nb). It is designed to provide excellent strength, formability, and weldability in the as-rolled condition, making it ideal for applications demanding lightweight design and high durability. The standard includes four grades based on minimum yield strength: 50, 60, 70, and 80 (corresponding to ksi).

Scope of Application

ASTM A656 steel plate is a series of high-strength low-alloy steels that can improve weldability, formability and notch toughness in the rolled condition. ASTM A656 steel plate is used in construction equipment, crane booms, automobile frames and general manufacturing. It is suitable for low temperature environments.
